Yes, I want you to look your best. But I’m most concerned about how you feel on the inside.
Many patients want [“x” facial feature] straightened, pulled, tightened, flattened, sucked out, filled up, etc., with the hopes of being “happy” afterward, only to find that having the procedure does not make him/her happy. Some patients complain that nothing was done because they don’t feel any different (despite objective proof, including side by side photographs, that show enhancement), while others move on to focusing on another perceived defect. Utimately, no procedure will cure a negative self-perception.
I prefer my patients start from a place of empowerment, a sense of knowing that the procedure they are choosing to have is not THE solution to a problem– but rather a gift to themselves to enhance their self-love, confidence and quality of life.
Spread the ‘Love.
