Eyebrow Lift / Forehead Lift

The position of one’s eyebrows drastically affects the appearance of the face. Droopy eyebrows make a person appear tired or angry. Elevated eyebrows make a person look surprised. An eyebrow lift raises the brows to a natural position and diminishes lines on the forehead, above the eyes and between the eyebrows. The result opens up the eyes, enhancing the beauty of the face, making an individual look more awake, younger, and energetic.

Who Is A Candidate For An Eyebrow Lift Or Forehead Lift?

Eyebrow and forehead lift surgery is recommended for healthy men and women whose eyebrows and foreheads have begun to sag and develop deep lines or wrinkles as result of aging. An eyebrow lift is often recommended to enhance the results of an eyelid lift, or blepharoplasty. Candidates who would benefit from both procedures have a heavy, tired look to their eyes that would not be fully corrected with a blepharoplasty alone.

What Is The Recovery Like From Eyebrow Lift Or Forehead Lift Surgery?

Eyebrow and forehead lift surgery is performed with moderate sedation or general anesthesia, depending on a patient’s preference. The procedure is accomplished in an outpatient setting. Most eyebrow lifts are performed using a minimally invasive endoscopic technique, using small scopes instead of creating large incisions. Small scopes are placed through incisions hidden within the hairline. The muscle is gently lifted. This elevates the brows and reduces wrinkles of the forehead and lines around the eyes. The endoscopic technique reduces recovery time and minimizes pain or bruising.

The procedure is accomplished in an outpatient setting. Most patients return to home after only a few hours. Recovery may last up to one week, at which time patients may return to work and non-strenuous activities. Mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising are common the first few days after surgery. Most patients feel confident returning to their public and social lives in 7-14 days. Dr. Jay Keni reduces bruising and recovery time with the use of homeopathic and herbal options. Detailed postoperative and aftercare instructions will be provided to each patient.
